Business Development Executives (4 Positions)
Reporting to: The Principal Officer / CEO
Job Summary
The Business development executive will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, acquiring and retaining clients and developing insurance programmes tailored to the needs of corporate, institutional, SME and high net worth clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the company’s presence in both conventional and specialty insurance markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve premiums and revenue growth.
- Prepare Insurance Quotations, Proposals and Presentations.
- Collect Market Intelligence and identify emerging business opportunities.
- Manage client’s renewals and retention.
- Achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.
- Work closely with Insurer’s and technical teams to structure bespoke insurance programmes.
- Promote Ensign company brand and professional image.
- Represent the company at Industry events, conference and networking forums.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Certificate of Proficiency - COP.
- Progress towards professional qualifications such as Diploma in Insurance will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Insurance sales, business development or corporate relationship management.
- Exposure to corporate, commercial or specialty insurance business will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong networking and relationship management abilities.
